My Interests

Basically, I love watching sports, all sport, football, rugby, darts, American football, ice hockey. You name it and I love watching it live or on the TV.

My youngest son is 14 and loves his rugby, he plays for his local rugby club and I’m one of his team’s coaches. It’s been amazing to see them grow and develop over the years and I take a huge amount of satisfaction and pride from that. As a family, we have season tickets for Bristol Bears rugby and go and watch them most weekends during rugby season.

If I’m honest, I fall in and out of love with running at different times of the year, but I am consistent with going to the gym. I also do strength and conditioning training and yoga once or twice a week.

My youngest and I started sea fishing this year and will be getting out in the fresh air again when spring comes and practising our craft. We’re hoping that we may even catch a fish this year!

I love motorbikes and I share this passion with my sons. This is us doing the charity Santa bike ride this year. Thousands of people dress up as Santa (or other Christmas characters) and ride their bikes a set route through Bristol and end up at the Children’s Hospice raising thousands of pounds along the way. The streets of Bristol are lined with families as it’s such a sight to see and it brings joy and magic to hundreds of children waving as we all go by.

As a family, we love going on holiday with friends, to anywhere in the Mediterranean, Turkey and Thailand.

This summer we did something different and planned a road trip through France. We visited Paris for a day, drove down to Chamonix, popped over to Italy for dinner and then into Switzerland for a night and then back up through France to get the ferry home again.

What a journey, and sights we saw. We did the panoramic Mont Blanc cable car, which takes you from the centre of Chamonix to the high mountains, reaching an altitude of 3,842 m. From the top of its 3777m, the Aiguille du Midi and its terraces 360° view of the French, Swiss and Italian Alps is amazing. You can even access the summit terrace at 3842m, with a breathtaking view of Mont Blanc.

We even white water rafting through the Arve River which takes you through the town of Chamonix, which we all loved.
